Carlos Museum covers the full spectrum of Nile Valley civilization, from the earliest Prehistoric times, to the period of Roman domination. At the core of the collection are the artifacts acquired by Emory professor William Shelton, who traveled to Egypt in 1920. The collection has experienced tremendous growth, beginning in 1999 with the purchase of Egyptian antiquities from a small, private museum in Niagara Falls, Canada. Then they can assemble their own pies. One recipe makes enough for 20-25 kids depending on the size of the scoop. MATERIALS: 1 large package of vanilla instant pudding 1 small can of pumpkin 2 1/2 cups of milk 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice. 1 package of graham crackers or Nilla wafers 1 container of Cool Whip (canned whip cream can also be used.) THE HUNTING BOOK (also known as (THE BOOK OF THE HUNT, or GASTON PHOEBUS' BOOK OF THE HUNT, etc.) was written by Gaston Pheobus, the Count of Foix and Viscount of Bearn. He was born in 1331, wrote this book sometime between May 1387 and his death in 1391. He was well-known for being an excellent huntsman, putting on good parties, and for being an all-round great guy. He wrote this book to explain how to hunt different kinds of animals, how to handle dogs, set up blinds, etc. The plate shown here illustrates how to use ferrets to hunt rabbits, and shows the hunters putting muzzled ferrets down rabbit holes, waiting for the rabbits to pop out the other end and into the nets. Westfield Park Primary School Aboriginal Art

Aboriginal Art Our school reflects a wide range of Aboriginal Art and Artefacts. Two artworks painted by students and co-ordinated by a well known Aboriginal artist hang in our library. Left: a closeup of some of the artwork from the emu painting above left. In 1999 the school began a collection of Artefacts which is supported by our ASSPA Committee. These include didgeridoo, spears and boomerangs all housed in a specially designed display cabinet in the library. In 1996 an Aboriginal Mural was painted by students attending Aboriginal Homework Classes. In 1999 we celebrated NAIDOC Week by creating class paintings which depicted the six seasons in Aboriginal culture. Two Aboriginal artists worked with all students to create the paintings.
