City Directory Online Thank you for visiting the 1890 Cincinnati
City Directory Online. We are currently in the process of indexing the
city directory for 1890. For those of you not familiar with what a city
directory is, a city directory is similar to modern day phone books. Most
city directories listed the individual's name, occupation, work address,
and residence. A small handfull of individuals and businesses had a telephone
listed in the 1890 directory. Later years included more phone numbers.
Starting in the 1920's, the directory also had a section listing residents
in order by address. By using this section you can find the resident of
