for Kids Naturely - ideas, activities and activity sheets for kids

Votes:0
for Kids Naturely This site contains links to activities that are based on our experience as a Naturalist, Troop Leader, and Animal Keeper. The ideas can be used for groups of children or one child. Each activity will appear on its own page. Every activity will have an objective, background, suggested age level, and the activity. If any skills are needed, they will also be listed. An Acrobat (tm) sheet can also be printed out. If there is an activity sheet with the activity, it will be included in the Acrobat (tm) file. Whenever possible, the activity will be tied to a Girl Scout or Boy Scout badge. If they fit in with other youth group badge requirement, please let me know and I'll include it on the page. I will try to extend the activity for other age levels when appropriate. Resources t Read More

Welcome to Sea Urchins!

Welcome to the Sea Urchin Embryology Tutorial ! This tutorial is part of an ongoing project designed to implement multimedia and computer-based learning materials in the university undergraduate classroom. The material presented here are NOT designed to replace either hard work outside of class wrestling with the dynamic nature of embryonic development, nor are they meant as a substitute for "wet lab" experience using a real microscope and real embryos. Instead, this tutorial is meant to supplement the presentation of standard videotape, laser video, digitized video and animation sequences in the traditional lecture period. A common comment is student evaluations is the wish for more opportunities to interact with the visual data presented in class in a more "hands-on" Read More
