"has no competitor what so ever within the family of 4-line kites" - this
conclusion is based on many experiments with new shapes and by comparing with other kites
home build as well as factory made. Here a 'small' collection of the models that I have build. Because of the size of this guidance (takes 193

Votes:0 A Gallery Of Kites I Have Designed And Made Shown below are some of the kites I have designed and built. They are mostly different than the mainstream stunt kites that you see. This large kite was designed for traction. It has a 140 inch leading edge each side and a wingspan of 18 feet. With an area of 53 square feet. This kite weighs 6.5 lbs. Not shown are a pair of outboard standoffs that were added to provide some washout to the tips to prevent tip stall during turns. These were added after this picture was taken. You can buggy with this kite but it suffers from being fragile in crashes as large framed kites always are. But this kite was designed to have the same relative frame stiffness as a normal 8 foot wingspan kite. Just to prove it flys. This was my first kite that used curved bat Read More Go to Site

Votes:0 Last up date:1998/08/01 THE GREAT WORKS OF NAGOYA KORYU This page was generated with permission of Mr.Masaaki Satoh, the author of the book "Nagoya Koryu dako". There are three types of Nagoya Koryu. Those are a horsefly(Abu) type, a cicada(Semi) type and a bee(Hachi) type in their configuration. The Nagoya Koryu shows an excellent flight feature in a strong wind such as 5m/s to 15m/s and have a hummer with high pitched sound. Although the height of the kite usually does not exceed more than 60 cm, the flight stability in the strong wind is very excellent. The building technique is very difficult because it needs a supurior craftmanship and experiences. Mr.Masaaki Satoh is an outstanding kite builder of Nagoya koryu. There are many reasons why a stunt kite won't perform as promised. The most common mistake people make, is not letting the full length of their lines out. The second most common is that the lines are not equal in length.. If you have tried and failed to fly your stunt kite, and have not observed the rules above, give it another try. Usually you need a good steady 8-10 mph wind to fly your stunt kite. If you find that you are running backwards, or that your hands are spread apart and you are yanking on the lines--you don't have enough wind. Go home, have a soda and wait for a better time! It flies best at windforce 3 and above. It has 7 rows of flaps. The surface is about 2 square meters. With dimensions of about 1.65m wide, 1.33m deep and 27cm high. Parafoil (bottom view) The 1.6 meter wide delta is purchased, I have a series of 10 of them to fly in stacks. This photo shows only 3. Their pull in medium winds (4 Beaufort +) is enough to lift you off the ground. There were some problems initially with this stack, the structure of the leading kite would nearly snap under the forces when flying acrobatics. The problem was solved by using extra long bridle lines, like 150 cm each. This distributed the forces more in the Read More Go to Site
