Chciuk family source site This web site is meant to serve as a reference source for all people wishing to trace the genealogy of the Chciuk family. There is to be a major family reunion of all Chciuks in Majdan Zbydniowski on August 18th, 2007. On the subject of Chciuks in America, I recently unearthed a fascinating NEW bit of information, namely, that on the 1st of November, 1923, the passenger ship Lituania landed at Philadelphia from Danzig (Gdansk) and brought to America one Rozajla Chciuk, aged 18 years, hence born in or about 1905 in Majdany, Poland, to visit Adam Chciuk; and Rozalja was accompanied by Marjanna Chciuk, aged 60 years. After talking with family historian Adam M. Chciuk about this, it turns out they were Adam Chciuk's mother and niece, and after visiting Adam in Michiga Read More

See her page. It is believed that Norman was born about 1745/50. Very likely the traditional Highland Scot method of naming the first son after the father's father was used. Because we know Norman and Sarah named there oldest son John, we can be relatively certain that Norman's father was John Campbell. Family tradition believes Norman was among the large number of Highland Scots who came up the Cape Fear River in the middle 1700's to settle in Cumberland County. This is what we know: Th Read More

Carey Family History Home Page David & Hannah Carey along with David's Sister Mary & her husband Benjamin Coleman were amongst the earliest settlers in Otago New Zealand They arrived on the Magnet at Waikouati on the 18th of March 1840 . This was before the declaration of British sovereignty over New Zealand and a full eight years before the Establishment of Dunedin by settlers arriving on the immigrant ships John Wickliffe and Philip Laing Over the years the contribution of the earliest settlers of Otago including the Carey's and the Coleman's has been largely ignored by many historians. As a consequence, many to believe that European settlement of Otago started in 1848 when the truth was that there was already some small thriving settlements in Otago by this time. The name might not be as common as it once was but the family line is large. Although it sounds a bit like a small furry animal or a Mexican snack, Chachula is a surname proudly borne by many Polish, Ukrainian, American and Canadian families. In Polish, it is a diminutive form of "nose". It is pronounced "Ha-hoo-wa" and is written in Polish with a slash through the "l" (represented by the "~" symbol after the "l" in Western typefaces). Some contemporary American members of the family sound the "ch" and hard "l" sounds, pronouncing it as "Cha-choo-la". Email John T. Child Genealogy has been an important part of the Child Family for generations, and this Web site is a simple expansion to that love and interest. It is a grand pleasure to do this work, for we not only learn more about our ancestors, we learn more about ourselves. It is necessary to recognize the work and efforts done by Sherman A. Child, a cousin to Paul L. Child, who was a co-author of the "Child Genealogy" book, and with zeal, collected a majority of the pictures to compile the Picture Pedigree Book to Mark A. Child, some of which found in digital form within this site. Although this site deals primarily with the Child of America roots, following the lineage of Paul Lorin Child through Benjamin Child; we also explore the history of the family into the origins of England, Read More

I started my research into my family in March of 1996 which was prompted by a friend of mine. This was a start 110 names of ancestors, very few of which went back to the origins of my families in America, some of which I am still searching for. Read More

Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Home Pages: My Calvert Family Lines in Kentucky and Virginia

Much of the Calvert family research was done by Ella Foy O'Gorman. Ella spent her entire life on this project and published her book "Calvert Family Descendants of Virginia" in 1947, when she was in her 80's. My paticular line I have researched back to my 5th greatgrandfather, Reuben Calvert, who died in the Revolutionary War. After his death his widow, Sarah, and family moved from Virginia to Nelson co., KY. My g.g.g.grandfather Bennett Gray Calvert migrated to Muhlenberg County, KY., where I have found a lot of documentation. In 1849 or 1850 McLean County was formed out of Muhlenberg county. This included the land on Cypress Creek, owned by the Calvert family. I hope this information can help someone else find their family ties. Please feel free to contact me to add, find more a Read More

My current understanding of the Cornwell family is that we have roots in London, (20th. Century), and back further in Wiltshire and Hampshire. Information obtained centred around the Mayfield and Rotherfield areas of east Sussex and Kent, especially gravestones, of which there are plenty. However, tying these deceased individuals together became a very knotty and expensive problem which had to be abandoned back in the 1950's. To further my current quest I have shown on this page, a family tree which is probably about as watertight as a seive, but which may serve to solicit information from other Cornwells who have better genealogical information at hand. My mother was Dorothy Amelia Godden. She had two brothers, Jack , William ( William married Naomi Wren. Daughter Millicent) and one siste Read More

Home page for the Cisco/Sisco genealogy

CISCO/SISCO genealogy data Brief abstract of this genealogical database. The progenitor of this family line is Moses SISCO , b. 28 Sep 1799 in Newark, NJ. He moved to Montgomery Co., Ohio in the early 1800's and his descendants settled in and around Franklin, IN where some of them still live today. We think that Moses' parents were members of the Dutch Reformed Church in Essex County, NJ. They split off from this church, joined the new Methodist denomination which John Wesley had recently founded and moved westward to Ohio sometime around 1810. One of Moses' brothers, Samuel G. Sisco , lived and died in Spencer County, Indiana. He and some of his descendants have been researched extensively by Fr. Bede Cisco. The Cassity/Cassidy Family Association Online!

WELCOME to the official website of the Cassity/Cassidy Family Association. The C.C.F.A. is dedicated to researching the genealogy of the Cassity/Cassidy family and their allied lines and preserving that heritage. Our initial focus was to identify and link all the branches of the Cassity family that left Virginia and settled in Kentucky starting in the 1780's. But we have collected much info on other Cassidy lines that were in America before the Revolution. We may eventually discover that these various lines converge somewhere in the past, so we have broadened our scope. The goal of the C.C.F.A. website is to provide a "meeting place" for Cassity/Cassidy decendants where they can research their genealogical past, read the history of their ancestors, meet their "cousins" Read More

THE COULSON FAMILY TREE

web hosting domain names photo sharing THE COULSON FAMILY TREE Hello and welcome to the Coulson Family Tree. The tree traces both the ancestors and descendants of Joseph Coulson and Margaret Mary Evans who emigrated from Derbyshire, England, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1703. My name is Mary Coulson Moody and I've compiled the tree from a number of sources. For example, a great deal of the information comes from the book Lineage of the Coulsons written, published and printed by Henry J. Coulson in 1901. Much of his information was received from family members and I have noticed that in several instances he was misinformed. Therefore, I would caution you that you should double check any sources listed for accuracy. In the event you find an error, please let me know. Mary Moody You can Read More
