Votes:0 Conures!! Species: There are many different species of conures.
The majority fall into the genus Aratinga, along with several in
the genus Pyrhurra . The others are Nandayus , which is only
a single species, the Nanday conure, Enicognathus , which includes
the Slender-billed and Austral conures, and Cyanoliensis , the Patagonian
conure. Some sources feel that some other well-known conures (including
the Half Moon, Blue Crowned, and others) may also fall into genuses of
their own. All conures have long tails and originate from South and Central
America; also Mexico. There was one Conure, the Carolina Parakeet, that
actually lived in North American as far north as New York and Chicago;
however this bird went extinct due to hunting and habitat destruction in
the early 1900's. Conures range in Read More Go to Site

Votes:0 Jester's Perch Hi! My name is Jester, and I'm a maroon belly conure. I hatched on January 12, 1998, so I'm 3 years old. My mom calls me a "he", but she doesn't actually know if I'm a boy or a girl, so I may just suprise her some day by laying eggs. ;-) I have a huge cage with lots of toys for me to play with while mom is busy or at work. But when mom comes in I hang on the front of the cage and look as cute as I can (which is VERY cute!) so she'll get me out. And I have a little playgym, which I'll sit on, but I'd rather be with mom, so when she puts me there I bob my head at her and beg her to come play with the poor parrot. I started talking when I was 9 months old. I say "Hi Jester", "Hi Jester Pester", "cute parrot", "pretty parrot", "Jester pester pest", "Hi there!", "Whatchdoin?", "P Read More Go to Site
Votes:0 Links More Pics Hi, my name is Nikki, I'm a female Jenday Conure. This is my website. Welcome! A little bit about me... I hatched in December 1992 and have been with my mommy and daddy since I was weaned, I'm 10 years old (wow!). I have an older brother named Bobbi, he's a couple of days older than me, we are what mommy calls clutchmates. Along with my brother, we live with Frenchie the cockatiel, Frenchy the budgie, and our newest addition is PG the cockatiel. PG (short for Pretty Girl) joined the family in November (2000). A friend found her under the bushes in her backyard. Daddy took her to the vet and now she's a part of our family. Here I am on the top of my cage, "I'm the queen of the world!" I'm a very adventurous birdie, some might even call me nosey. I'm always looking Read More Go to Site
Votes:0 ~SHORTY~ GREEN CHEEKED CONURE HI my name is Shorty! I am a green cheeked conure. I am a fun and energetic lil guy! I love to move around from place to place. I am not much into that kissing stuff, but I love to do tricks! I will lay on my back in your hand and hang upside down from just about anywhere. I like to climb around on the computer desk and see what good things I can find to play with. One of my favorite places is a shoulder and earrings! They say conures are supposed to be loud but I am very quiet compared to my larger bird siblings. My best bud is a lovebird her name is Rudy. We get into lots of stuff together below is a picture of us trying to see what trouble we can find! MY BUD RUDY AND ME SITTIN ON THE BACK OF MOMS COMPUTER CHAIR! Votes:0 TEQUILA'S CONURE WORLD (Please wait. It may take a few moments for the image to load.) This is Tequila, doing what he likes best (-snuggling on my shoulder.) Welcome to Tequila's conure world! This is a page dedicated to our beautiful sun conure, Tequila. But we'd also like to add some information about conures. (This will be happening in the near future, so be sure to visit often!) Tequila was born in September of 1999, but came into our lives on January 26, 2000. He captured our hearts with his sweet, cuddly personality. His colors are changing constantly! Here are some pictures of Tequila in January 2000 (left) and again in July 2000 (right). What a change! He continues to stun us with his ever-changing colors, like a tequila-sunrise. In fact, it was his golden color that inspired us to Read More Go to Site
