Alligator Farm - Saint Augustine, FL

Maximo At 15 feet 3 inches and 1250 pounds, Maximo is the largest animal in our park. He is a Saltwater Crocodile or "Saltie" as they call them in Australia. His egg was collected and hatched by aborigines who then sold him to the Cairns Crocodile Farm in Australia. He grew to be 15 feet in less than 30 years and may live to be 60 or even 80 years old. Saltwater crocodiles are the largest of all the crocodilians, sometimes reaching a length of 18 feet. We are thrilled to be able to display this impressive specimen in our park. Don't miss a close-up look at Maximo from our underwater viewing windows. Wading bird rookery Explore the native swamp exhibit where hundreds of wading birds fly in to roost in the late afternoons. Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World

Votes:0
Opened in April, 1998, Animal Kingdom is Walt Disney World's newest theme park. It is not a zoo (N?HT?Z?!) and not a typical Disney theme park, and not exactly a combination. It's a totally unique concept. When you come into the Entrance Plaza you notice a different atmosphere. This is setting your mood for a trip to Africa and Asia. It is here you get your strollers and lockers, find Guest Relations, ATMs, and phones. Here you will find the only full service restaurant, the Rainforest Cafe and The Outpost , your first and last chance to buy souvenirs. Though you may have heard it is enormous (five times the size of Magic Kingdom ), you ride through a great deal of it. Once you pass through the Entrance Plaza into the park, if you've picked up your guide map, you will see by the map that A Read More

Aullwood uses sustainable and organic methods (grass-based livestock management, proper plowing, crop rotation, absence of synthetic fertilizers and persticides) and is certified by the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association. 72 acres of Aullwood Audubon Farm are certified as organic. Eveglades Alligator Farm

Spend a day at our adventure park that you will remember for the rest of your life Welcome to South Florida's Oldest Alligator Farm Our privately owned attraction is a real working alligator farm. Started in 1982 by Mr. John Hudson, the farm originally began as an airboat ride attraction. In 1985 the State of Florida permitted commercial farming of alligators and Mr. Hudson opened the first such farm in Dade County. In the 60's, the American alligator had almost become extinct and was placed on the endangered species list by the Federal Government. Commercial farming was correctly seen as a way to insure the preservation of this reptile, which traces its existence back to the time of the dinosaurs. Our farm is located at the edge of the Everglades, however, it is not a part of the Everglad Read More
