His recent recordings have brought him many Grand Prix du Disque. He has taught the baroque oboe at the Oberlin Conservatory's Baroque Performance Institutes. Piguet has appeared in recitals in the US this fall. By "Baroque Oboe" one generally means the oboe with two actual keys used around 1650 to 1800.
