Historical Origins of French Cuisine - History Essay 93

Mushrooms, truffles, garlic, and otherwise infrequently used vegetables appeared - some of them carved artistically - while pasta creations became filled and layered (lasagne, ravioli, manicotti, etc), all of it accompanied, among the wealthy, Read More

It was cold but sunny today, a perfect day to buzz around Paris looking for holiday gifts. I abandoned my old Renault 11 a few months ago and opted for a more daring means of navigating the capital: a scooter. The advantage of the 50 cc scooter is that you don´t need a license, and you can drive anywhere other than the Peripherique and the autoroute, which is a good thing. After 20 years in Paris, it´s fun to have discovered a new way of relating to a city i know kind of "inside out." On a two-wheeler, you are closer to the road, and you begin to understand the road-habits that Read More
