NOTE: LET'S JUST WATCH AND SEE IF THE MAINLAND CHINESE AUTHORITIES CAN KEEP THEIR PEOPLE UNINFORMED AND OFF THE 'NET. (re. TCP/IP SPOKEN HERE) CHINESE DEMOCRACY The bloody body of a dead student removed from the street right after the Tiananmen Square crackdown on June 4, 1989. Some say that after the student protests of 1989 and the massacre at Tiananmen Square in 1989, democracy and freedom in China died. I do not believe this to be so, and only have some patience and you will see what happens in a generation or two; wait and witness the backbone people can show when they are fighting for their freedom. As Czechoslovakia democrat Tomas G. Masaryk said in totalitarian Central Europe nearly 50 years: "Dictators always look good until the last minutes." NEW! Wei Free and Exiled to the U.S.! Read More

Imagine: a Chinese thinker about whom little is known and whose authorship of the poems has been challenged. Despite their cloudy and distant origins, the poems make many statements that may sound curiously familiar to contemporary Americans. Great Wall Across the Yangtze

--> Broadcast Schedule When finished, the Three Gorges Dam will produce the energy of 15 nuclear power plants and tame some of the river's deadliest floods. To China's leaders, the dam is the greatest engineering feat since the construction of the Great Wall, but to critics worldwide, it is a social and environmental disaster. As the debate rages on, GREAT WALL ACROSS THE YANGTZE tells a complex story of extraordinary sacrifice in the face of modernization. In der Oasenstadt Dunhuang teilt sich die alte Handelsroute. Dunhuang hat eine eigene historische, kulturelle und auch ethnische Qualit?t, die mit seiner besonderen geographischen Lage zusammenh?ngt.
