		Alberta Gears up to Walk the Talk in the Name of Back to School Safety ^Votes:0 Government of Alberta News Release September 15, 1999 For Immediate Release Alberta Gears up to Walk the Talk in the Name of Back to School Safety EDMONTON - September 29, 1999 has been officially proclaimed as the second annual Alberta Walks the Talk Day by Ed Stelmach, Minister of Alberta Infrastructure. The Walk the Talk program educates Alberta's elementary school and daycare-aged children on the importance of traffic safety. The Alberta Walks the Talk Day encourages families to walk their children's route to and from school and provide them with practical safety tips on how to avoid dangers they may encounter. This year's program hopes to build on last year's success.
