Afraid to/of
Use afraid TO when talking about something someone planned to do but then changed their mind because they were afraid. "She was afraid to eat it" suggests that for some reason she was considering eating it or wanted to eat it.
Use afraid OF for something unplanned and undesirable- she didn't eat it because she was afraid of being poisoned/ afraid of dying. (And also afraid of + noun for things in general: "I'm afra ...

The word "deep" is incorrect here, Anu. You are describing the verb "think"
so should use the adverb, "deeply". Very often adverbs end in -ly, but there
are many exceptions. Anu, it would be useful if you could make a list of
adjectives and their corresponding adverb forms and link the list to
"Students' Help" on this page.

Choose the correct conjunction from the list to complete these sentences.
and - but - when - because - so - then - while
1) I gave the shopkeeper fifty pence ... I had ten pence change.
2) We waited for Penny ... she didn't turn up.
3) The weather was very cold ... Steven wore gloves.
4) James was sad ... his football team had lost the match.
5) Susan had her supper ... went to bed.
6) The children washed their hands ... they had finished gardening.
7) We wanted to go to the beach... it rained.
8) Bill read a book ... he waited for the train.
9) Paul dropped the cup... it broke.
10) Julie was a good girl ... she got a sticker.
Now use each conjunction to write a sentence of your own.

Adjectives
Adjectives are words used to describe or modify nouns. They give the reader more information about a noun. Use adjectives to make your writing more interesting.
Examples:a good essay
the intelligent student
our hard-working leader
Some adjectives can be used for comparing different things.
Examples:Vancouver is cold. Toronto is colder. Winnipeg is coldest.
This book is good. That book is better. My book is the best.

Adverbs
Adverbs are words used to describe actions. They give additional information about when, how, and where something is happening. Use adverbs to make your writing more precise and interesting.
She spoke yesterday. (when)
She spoke quickly. (how)
She spoke here. (where)
Some adverbs are used to compare different actions.
I can run fast. She can run faster. He can run the fastest.
I spoke well. She spoke better. He spoke the best.

A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea. Every sentence must have a noun as its subject.
Examples: The bear sleeps.
