All students at Heard Street Discovery Academy learn to write using the
D'Nealian alphabet. Children in Kindergarten and Grade one learn to print
using the manuscript alphabet. In the middle of Grade two, children learn
the written (cursive) alphabet. Children in Grades 3-4-5-6 use the cursive alphabet.
