The mission of the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is to protect, promote and enhance our common wealth of natural, cultural and recreational resources for the well being of all. We have made serious efforts to create an agency capable of delivering world class conservation and recreation services, demonstrate progress toward world class parks, and generate public appreciation and support for the resources we manage.
