I. Definition:
Scleroderma means "hard skin" and is pronounced skler-o-derma. Scleroderma is a disease that causes fibrosis (hardening) of the skin and sometimes the internal organs. Scleroderma, or Systemic Sclerosis, is aa disease, where the patient has an increase in connective tissue of the skin and many other organs, e.g. the oesophagus.
