The Convection And Moisture EXperiment (CAMEX) is a series of field research investigations sponsored by the Earth Science Enterprise of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The third field campaign in the CAMEX series (CAMEX-3) was based at Patrick Air Force Base , Florida from 6 August - 23 September, 1998. Atmospheric and Cloud Physics research is carried out by several faculty members and graduate students within the Earth and Space Sciences Department at the University of Washington.
Research work includes the study of aerosol properties, aerosol-cloud interactions, cloud electrification and lightning characteristics, ice physics, planetary atmospheres and the role of snow and clouds in climate.

Isentropic analysis can be a powerful tool for better understanding vertical motion and the three-dimensional transport of moisture within an extratropical cyclone. My booklet entitled "Isentropic Analysis and Interpretation- Operational Applications to Synoptic and Mesoscale Forecast Problems" is intended to be a primer on isentropic analysis for operational forecasters.
