Anti-UBE/UCE ("E-mail spam") page Unsolicited Bulk E-mail (UBE) and Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE) are annoying. It wastes your time. It chews up network bandwidth. And almost all of it peddles scams which are extremely lame (e.g., "hire us to send UBE!"), if not outright illegal (e.g., the "make money fast" pyramid scheme). What can I do about UBE/UCE? Court documents from Ameriweb (LINKUS) v. Netcom Amazon.Com sends UCE and ignores "remove requests" ... but they're not alo ...

Why We're Against UCE What's the fuss about Unsolicited Bulk E-mail (UBE)? JUNKBUSTERS Junk Email (Spam) Headlines Spamming must be stopped Prevention first: see our tips on how to stay off junk email lists, because getting your address removed is far more difficult. Even if you're angered by repeated spam, do not threaten the spammer with violence or illegal acts. E-mail-bombing usually hurts other people, not the spammer. You can report the spam to various companies and government agencies. To learn how to track down who is really sending you junk, see ...

Dealing with Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE, "email spam") Unsolicited mass email has become an enormous problem on the Internet, affecting users and ISPs alike. Users who are unable to check and purge their mailboxes on a frequent basis can find their disk quotas filling fast; providers are dedicating resources disporportionately to processing the volume of unwanted email and to helping users cope with it. Please do not "bounce" spam with a fake "user unknown" header. It's wisest not ...

[ SPAM: FAQ | Right Way | E-Postage | www.CAUCE.org ] Spam, Advertising, and The Media What's Spam? Spam is unsolicited e-mail pushing a point, be it asking you to visit a web site, or asking you to buy a used PC. If you didn't ask for it, didn't join the mailing list, or didn't put your e-mail address on a web page asking for more information about they are selling, (and maybe even if you did,) it's Spam! And Spam threatens to destroy the internet more effectively than any government ever c ...

spamfree.org is in transition. I originally registered it for a grassroots organization called FREE (the Forum for Responsible and Ethical Email) back in 1998. The group disbanded, and in 2004 I was called upon by a former member of FREE and current board member of the SpamCon Foundation to give it to them, which I was happy to do. But they haven't used it, and I subsequently asked and received permission to transfer ownership back to myself, so I'm going to do so, and I will eventual ...
