With its sprawling size and diversity of landforms, Texas offers a treasure of spectacular wildflowers for residents and visitors alike. Over 5,000 species of flowering plants are native to Texas. March, April and May are prime blooming months, but there is always something blooming in Texas. We hope you enjoy this small sample of some of Texas' wildflowers. If you are in Austin, try to visit the National Wildflower Research Center.
