Sewing Info
I am not going to say how many sewing machines I own, but since I got my Pfaff, I do all my sewing on it. Mainly, I quilt and do free motion embroidery. Occasionally I might even sew something. Just to show that I can use my machine to some degree of competence, here is a snowflake I made:
SNOWFLAKE
This snowflake was designed using my Pfaff, the stitches 158, 89, and the free download from the Pfaff site.
Another way I fill my days is by learning to digitize design ...

Quilt Block Patterns
Last updated January 28, 1997.
Just a couple of words of warning!
First, I worked these patterns out to use in a sampler quilt; therefore, although the patterns for four-patch and nine-patch blocks are for 12 inch blocks, the patterns for five-patch blocks are actually 11 7/8 inch blocks, and the seven-patch blocks work out to 12 1/4 inches (I didn't want to use anything smaller than 1/8 inch in figuring the measurements). I don't find that easing that amount is too hard, ...

NOTE: There was a serious error in the cutting instructions for the 3-1/2" and 2" squares of Background fabric for the Medium and Large Size Mystery Quilt directions. Please take the cutting information again. You will need more fabric than originally stated. Apologies for the confusion.

My name is Heddi Craft and I am a teacher who has been making quilts with children for the past nine years. This page is designed to describe the projects I have organized and give you ideas, techniques, and resources for working with children in making quilts.
Please note: Due to birth of my first child and the expected birth of my second, I don't currently have the time right now to keep this page up-to-date. Although the information here continues to be useful (I hope), I will not be revi ...

Scrap Quilts and How to Make Them
Quilts come in all kinds of styles - wholecloth quilts that show stunning stitchwork on a single piece of cloth, art quilts with beautifully chosen fabrics and designs, stained glass quilts that mimic exquisite glasswork. And, my favorite, the scrap quilt.
