Pemaquid Point Lighthouse built 1827
On the last Wednesday in May, 1635 (May 27th), the ship "Angel Gabriel" a strong ship of 240 tons, and carrying a heavy armament of 16 guns swung at her moorings in the King's Road, four or five miles distant from the city. Note: The following ship's list is transcribed from a copy found on microfilm at the National Archives in Washington, DC. The original list is written in longhand (likely with a quill pen), and appears to have had more than one author. Because of the quality of the handwriting and condition of the microfilm, In several instances I was forced to make a "best guess" at certain names, occupations, etc. These are noted by a question mark (?).
