Oreailurus jacobita
There are just a few museum specimens by which to describe this species, and there have been just a few observations made in the wild. The Andean mountain cat is a small but sturdy cat: one male from Peru weighed 4 kg. Asiatic Golden Cat
Catopuma temminckii
I'm a Asiatic Golden Cat and I'm a postcard too!
Found in the tropical rainforests of Asia, these cats are most active at night, hunting for rodents, small deer, birds and lizards. Like most cats, they are solitary except in the breeding season. The female alone raises a litter of 1 to 2 kittens. Asiatic Golden Cats are threatened with extinction due to hunting and trade in their fur.
