FLAMINGOS
There are 5 species of flamingo. All are tall, pinkish white birds with long necks, large wings and short tails.
Males and females look alike.
Flamingos feed in the water, filtering out minute food particles with their highly specialised bills.
Long-legged birds such as the flamingo and the stork wade into deep water on their stilt-like legs, to feed on tasty morsels that the shorter-legged can't get at.
