Chris Beekman I am an anthropologist specializing in the archaeology of ancient Mesoamerica, particularly those areas north of Oaxaca and the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. My field research is currently focused in central Jalisco, in western Mexico, just a bus ride west of the state capital of Guadalajara.
