Mountain lions are weird. The mountain lion has many different names, such as cougar, lion, catamount, puma, and panther. The mountain lion is active all year and its main diet is deer. Mountain lions breed all year round and have a litter of two or three. At the age of 6 weeks, the mother teaches the babies to hunt by practicing on rodents! Mountain lions can grow to be five feet long, not including their tail which is usually two to three feet long. The largest mountain lion recorded was 227 pounds! Usually mountain lions live to be 10-20 years old. All in all, mountain lions are weird.

Felis concolor
Also known as: cougar, mountain lion, catamount, American lion, painter and panther.
The puma is an exceptionally successful predator, and its adaptability probably helped it survive the late Pleistocene extinction of the other large North American felids. Although it is a big cat, it is believed to be more closely related to the small cats, lacking the elastic hyoid and enlarged vocal folds of the Panthe ...

Felis concolor
I'm a Puma and I'm a postcard too!
Also called Cougars or Mountain Lions, these agile cats are found in habitats ranging from forest to desert. They can be active both day or night but usually spend the day resting. Deer is the main prey. They are solitary animals with a litter of 3 to 4 cubs being born in a rocky den or hollow tree. Habitat loss has made Pumas a threatened species.
